6 Months and 21 Months

That's right Julia is now 6 months and Joana is 21 months. Soon we will stop talking about months and only mention years. This month has been pretty uneventful but both John and I have been very busy with work so that's why we didn't post the blog until today. Sorry, everyone.

Julia went to her well-check up visit and the doctor said that she looked very healthy and strong. She is now 14.6 pounds (6.5 kgs) and 27 inches (68.5 cms). He said we raise strong, tall and elegant babies which made us very proud to hear. :)

Julia can now sit up straight by herself, she likes to grab toys and play with them but she has not yet started to crawl. Well, she does crawl backwards and she moves around sliding from left to right or rolling over, but she is refusing to crawl forward. Maybe next month.

Joana is doing great, saying more and more words everyday and sounding really funny when she puts more than two words together. She likes to climb on furniture and the fact that she is so fearless sometimes worries us. She found out what the word drum means and anything that makes a noise is a drum.Joana has been obsessed with Dora the Explorer and Diego, two cartoons that she watches daily. They teach her about animals, numbers, colors and words in Spanish. She loves being a big sister and she likes to show how tall she is.

Tomorrow, February 7, 2010, is the Superbowl and the New Orleans Saints are playing against the Indianapolis Colts. It's a big deal because the Saints have never been to the Superbowl so it will be a day to remember. GO SAINTS!! MAKE US PROUD!!
